Sexual and Relationship Violence Resource Consultants
About the Program The Sexual and Relationship Violence Resource Consultants (RCs) are a volunteer group of staff and faculty from Drexel University, the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. RCs work proactively to prevent and address sexual assault, dating/domestic violence, and stalking in our shared campus community by acting as a resource for individuals who are looking for information about sexual and/or relationship violence. RCs provide confidential support and resource information to survivors and can help individuals find and obtain the help they are looking for both on and off campus. They are trained on a range of issues regarding sexual and relationship violence, including the dynamics of intimate partner violence, how to offer emotional support, medical treatment and counseling services available to survivors, and criminal justice and judicial processes and options.
Who are Resource Consultants? RCs represent a variety of offices and departments from across the three Consortium campuses. They are diverse individuals of varying ages, races, sexes, sexual orientations, and religious affiliations. They interact with and serve the campus community at different levels, but collectively they have chosen to become a source of resource information for survivors and/or their friends.
